Cave Painter Lament

I finally finished my Cave Trailer.  I had the sides and the insides of the drawers done, but I had not finished the ceiling.

Back

Right side
Closet
This is the back with the stove, the sink and the door into the trailer.  The right side is based on the caves in Spain at Altamira.
Left side

The Left side is based on the cave paintings in France at Lascaux.

I wanted to paint hands on the ceiling for about three years now, and got it done very fast because I had been thinking about it all that time.  I also painted the door but I done have pictures of it at this time.  Next time.

Disappointed

Since I  accidentally deleted the  Ripping Yarns blog and deleted all my corespondents with my deceased friend Julie I have been in a funk.  A very deep funk that has made me not want to do anything and actually get rid of all this stuff and find a simpler pastime.  Something less disappointing.
I guess that's my one word epitaph "Disappointed".  I wonder if there are images for disappointment. Or missed expectations.  Since it is so pervasive in my life. I should go with it and make it my mantra.  I thought that I had gotten over my high expectations.  So when in comes back up, I cant see it as such.  I expect things to just take off once I get something going.  Eisenstein definition of insanity- Doing the same thing the same way over and over again and expect different results.  Anyhow since I am actually talking to my self in the endeavor I  will divulge my new idea.  "Porthole Ware"

Queen

I have had this idea of sewing things into plastic covers for a long time. I have finally started to experiment with my logo and with other pieces of paper.  I have another idea that includes playing cards so I have a lot of them to mess with. I have been augmenting my business cards with little bits of art and have been using some of the playing cards so I had bits left over and so the Queen was born.  LONG LIVE THE QUEEN!!

After 22 years.... New Business Card

Woo Hoo.  It kind of took over my day yesterday.  I didn't even know I wanted a new card.  My old one I printed off right after I graduated from Art College.  Big dreams!  Then life and debt got in the way and I just started using my old cards just to use them up.  I still have about 250 cards left.  Kind of pathetic.

Too many talents, get nothing done.

I am expecting art to make it self.  Of course it does  once I start something. But creativity has no hands of it own, it has to channel to become.  This is a new avenue for my great create debate. Time to chase my making ability. No more waiting for inspiration. Time  to get back to the specific time for making.  Been resting on my laurels so long I  have laurel makes imprinted on my butt.
